Reviews
It takes a great writer to invoke strong emotions within a reader and I feel that Matthew Cory has accomplished just that with Like Glass. Mr Cory’s use of *blinks* with Rob, while he is trying to cope with the unthinkable, are very clever and well thought out. His characters are believable and the transitions between scenes are very smooth. I feel that Matthew Cory shows great talent and I anxiously await future works by him.- April, Cafe of Dreams (Full Review)
Once I started this book I didn’t want to put it down. I very much enjoyed looking at a relationship between a man and a woman from the man’s perspective. Many books (at least that I have read) that are more about the pain of dealing with a family and a love interest are written by women about women – showing mainly their point of view. This is a fun look at the other side of the story.

Like Glass is both enjoyable and heart-wrenching. Cory is at his finest during Rob’s breakdowns, providing the reader with vividly detailed ‘blinks’ between reality and a much-prefered fantasy world. Cory’s knowledge of music and the Pacific northwest is apparent, and he uses it create a very real experience for the reader.– J.E. Braun, Author Paranoia (read the full review at Amazon.com)
For a first novel, there is depth, emotion, and a story to tell whether in the past or the present. Janet, Lisa, and Rob have to deal with the now. The brother he knew seems to be such a good guy. Things are changing all the time and Rob has to figure out how to keep up. Mr. Cory keeps things light at times but there is healing that needs to be done.
